Jack Turns 2

Jack turned 2 on the 14th. Lee and I are both on a low carb/fat diet, so the thought of spending a lot of time making a cake that we couldn’t eat was just depressing. Instead, we just bought him a couple cupcakes loaded with icing that he was just as happy with. He loved singing Happy birthday and needed to do it more than once.

We kept things low key this year, just us and a skype call from Lee’s parents. He was super spoiled with toys, receiving:
Lightning McQueen and Finn McMIssile  from G&G O
Train from G&G G
Dr Seuss Books from M&D
Wooded animal puzzle from M&D
Dump Truck from M&D
Mr Potato Head from M&D

I can’t believe how fast the time has flown. Jack is talking up a storm, continuing to tell people he’s “23 months”, can sing twinkle twinkle all the way through by himself, and is demonstrating his independence.

He loves trains, is mischievous and will tattle on one parent to the other. He’s a great big brother and is always looking out for Harper, making sure she doesn’t get neglected for too long when she’s upset.

When he goes to bed at night, he has now started to say “Don’t go, I want to talk!” even though we’ve just read stories, sang a couple songs and talked about what we’re going to do tomorrow.

Even though he’s super busy and keeps us running, He’s the sweetest kid and we’re so glad he’s ours!

Note: Please ignore our poor singing in the movies at the bottom:)
