Fall at the Park
Sidewalk Chalk
  • Sidewalk Chalk

  • It's been such an unseasonably warm fall so far (knock on wood). We've been able to run around outside, ride bikes, and draw on the sidewalk, which has saved this mama's sanity. ^^Occasionally, Jack is nice to her^^ ^^Arm's up!^^ ^^Personality 1^^ ^^Personality 2^^ ^^N [...]
  • Thanksgiving 2015

  • Nothing makes you more thankful for your husband than having to spend a weekend without him. Lee ended up having to work Thanksgiving weekend, so I trekked up north to hang out with his family without him. The kids had a blast running wild together. The weather was unseasonably warm on saturday so w [...]
  • Family Pictures 2015

  • We recently got family pictures back from the talented Kinsey Holt. We hadn't had family pictures taken since Harper was a baby, so it was nice to have some current ones. Despite the rain and the wind which wreaked havoc on my hair, I think they turned out pretty good. [...]
  • Testing out the 35mm.

  • Lee spoiled me with a new lens for my birthday, so I spent the day playing around with it.   ^^bed head^^ ^^Playing with Legos^^ ^^Wren and Jenna^^ ^^I love those freckles^^ ^^Grandma Marj^^
  • Jack goes to grade 1

  • Well, we've reached a milestone at our house. Jack is in grade 1. Full day school, 5 days a week. He was pretty excited his first day, though a little anxious. He hid it well with his cool guy exterior, and breezed into class like it was no big deal.
  • Washington

  • We've had such a good time the last few summers out in Washington, we decided to do it again this year. We rented a little cottage on Lake Sutherland again, and prayed hard for nice weather. We were in luck, and had sunshine most of the trip. I got to try out some stand up paddleboards, and kayaks, [...]
  • Kananaskis

  • So....after looking forward to this week in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park all summer, and booking our sites as soon as the system allowed, Mother nature screwed us. The weather was pretty bad, but I like to think we made the best of it. Between drizzly hikes, and playing football during the rain br [...]
  • Harper Turns 4

  • Well, we did it, we survived 3. It was pretty close there for a while, I didn't know if we'd make it. It was a year full of emotions. Some of which were not always contained very well, but the happy came just as easy as the angry. Harper at 4: A hilarious sense of humor. Loves to make people [...]
  • Little Bitterroot Cabin Fun

  • We got to go play at Lee's sister's cabin down in montana a few weekends ago. The weather was perfect, the food was delicious, and the company was outstanding. ^^These kids didn't even need the boat, they would have been content to just hang out on the tub tied to the dock all weekend^^ [...]
  • The Golden Anniversary

  • Lee's parents celebrate 50 years of wedded bliss this week, so we celebrated this weekend in Waterton, a place that holds a lot of sentimental value for Pat and Barrie. Because it was the first time all the Oviatt children had been in one place for quite some time, Lee's mom had asked us to get som [...]
